That’s a fairly good point. Specially in the case of GoTG they’ve been able to make the characters seem so familiar just with one movie. There are very few people, almost none, that I know who’ve read the comics and knew the characters beforehand.
That’s the reason I don’t have that big a problem with the MCU, even though most of the big budget steps they take might seem relatively safe and formulaic. But with the recent contrast provided by DC gave me a reality check on how its probably not that easy to make a good superhero movie.
